I couldn't reply to your attached message so I have to do it here.

When I don't know the parent's names, I just put the child's last name for
the father because this was the only way I could keep the siblings together.
In some cases, I never did find out who the parents were.

You can always go back and fix it when you find the true parents.  The only
problem with this is if you have a lot of the same surname with no first
name then it might get confusing in the list, but that never bothered me
since clicking on the name will show who they belong to.
