Jeanette - many of the helpful hints on using Legacy do not make it to
the ListServ. If they did, there would probably be more constructive
discussions on the ListServ. It is evident that the leadership at
Legacy would prefer the ListServ to go away as they rely on FB as the
primary stream for discussion.
I consult with people everyday in these matters and I stress the
'duplication of discussion' in getting your brand out. You post to
Twitter which posts to FB that notifies people through email. Discussion
happens in three different medium and more people get involved.
Especially when you are posting information that references websites and
blogs - it does not matter which stream it is posted in, it benefits all
three (Twitter, FB, email).
If the support staff does not want to have the ListServ, they should
close it down like they did with the FamilySearch list. It was not that
the people on the ListServ wanted it closed, Legacy Support staff made
that decision.
If no one posts to the list, it will die anyway. Requiring people to
have a FB account (that they don't want) for technical support help
turns off an entire group of people.
Just my thoughts!

I think it is unreasonable to expect Legacy Family Tree to combine the
Users Group and the Facebook Group. They have gone the extra mile to
provide two avenues (different tools) to share information. If you
want both avenues, then you should take the time and effort to learn
the two programs, whether it be email group or Facebook.

Alas. A good forum is inclusive, but Legacy is unwilling to share
FB posts here? Sad. A loss that impacts all Legacy users.
