I guess we can hope all we want, Mike, but this is Microsoft that we are
dealing with When I made the AutoSave switch to ThisPC, Legacy did not find
my previous installation (in the OneDrive path) and instead thought it was a
brand new program instllation. I suppose I could manually move the entire
Legacy Family Tree over to the ThisPC (and maybe other programs' folders)
but methinks Microsoft wants to sell cloud space and not make it easy for
the user to abandon OneDrive. Another example is that Microsoft will no
longer allow a "Guest" account on Windows 10 but there is a very easy way
around it if you want to create one (email me privately if anyone wants
info).

seldom follow any standard procedures.

One would hope that Microsoft will do the decent thing and implement a
facility such as has always been present before the advent of the pernicious
cloud. This facility allows you to move the Personal folder to anywhere on
the PC, such as another drive. At the same time, the present contents of the
Personal folder are moved to the new location. I would hope that Microsoft
will ensure that when Documents is switched back to ThisPc, that the
contents of Documents are moved from OneDrive to This Pc.
