I'm confused. If you've entered a date then you are already in the Family
View...no need to return to it. Unless you are saying that you seemingly
entered a date elsewhere in the program but then checked on the Family View
where it doesn't show up. Or else you might be say that when you "returned"
means that you exited the program and now can't see the date that you
entered. In which case I'd make sure that you are operating on the same
family file each time and not unknowingly working on several versions of
what you think is the same family file.

We need more clarification of what is happening.
