Jenny, This is a known issue. It has been entered into our bug tracking system (issue #5571). The fix will appear in a future update but I can't tell you exactly when that will be. I have added your information to the bug report so that the programmers will have it :)

But I also often quote from newspaper articles and advertisements which frequently incorporate an em-dash (alt+0151) and although this will appear correctly in the first instance (whether adding from the Special Characters ribbon or pasting OCR text) as soon as the Event is saved it reverts to '97 and appears thus in Reports. Must I resign myself to changing all em-dashes to en-dashes?
