Ian,
Click the down arrow at the end of the Surname field. That opens the
Master Surname List.
Edit them there.
The other way in View - Master Lists - Surname.

The name is McFadden, and I see them as McFADDEN – if I enter another
in the edit screen, it is changed to that.
My other surnames, in the edit screen (Individual’s Information), will
be like Wilson or McIntosh.
