Hugh,

You can delete the lock ldb file. The Legacy database is a Microsoft Access database and it is locked when in use. If Legacy crashes, the file sometimes remains locked. All your data is in the .fdb file.

It sounds like you are getting false positives unless some malware has affected more than the Legacy program?

I don't use Windows Defender as my regular virus checker but do scan with it occasionally and happened to use it for a full computer scan today. As a Legacy tester, I have a number of Legacy versions installed and it didn't report any of them. But I don't have Legacy 6 installed.

Trust you get it sorted with a fresh download and install of Legacy 6. You know that you shouldn't install Legacy 6 into a Program Folder, don't you. Anywhere else is fine.

This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy
imposed by some email providers. Users who want to send messages
without conversion to attachments should use a different email address
for their subscription.

Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require
this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email
providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.
