Hi, As far as I am aware, you need to register by setting up a user name, and then you should be able to see any public trees, but you do not have access to sources or to do research. You do not have to provide any financial information or credit card information. I have given invitation to many people over the years and, only recently, I had one person who had problems accessing my public ancestry tree. Elizabeth

Using the link you provided I got a "Sign In to Ancestry" screen instead of viewing the person. On that basis it looks like Ancestry will not let anyone without an account view public trees.
