If you use the Event Clipboard you can copy the Event and its source(s)
and paste both to anyone with a single click.
Look for the copy to clipboard icon on the Event edit window, just below
the column of buttons on the right. The copy is the icon with 2 pages,
the past is the icon which looks like a clipboard with a piece of paper.
NOTE: Never copy an event to the clipboard then delete the event. The
Event clipboard uses a pointer to the event so if the event is deleted
the clipboard will not have anything to paste.
I use this all the time to add census events to every member of the
family. I create the census once for the head of household then paste
it, with the census source to all the other family members.

I would like to enter an event and be able to add that EXACT event to
other people say for a census with 8 people in the household.
Take an event like:
Residence
22 Broadway
4 Apr 1920
New York City, New York County, New York, USA
Attach exactly to: father, mother, daughters, sons, grandchildren,
grandmother, etc. with the same modified event sentence. Current, I copy
the event and go to each person’s page and enter it separately. Even if
I could copy the event and then select a list for it to attach to, it
would save time.
I have looked at shared events but they change my sentences and put in
extraneous items I don’t want. I tried to make it work for me but couldn’t.
