Confirmed, I found a similar report in the Legacy Bug Tracking system on
the behaviour of the Name list when linking to an existing Father but
not on this behaviour of the marriage list when linking to existing parents.
I have added a new report to the Legacy Bug Tracking system so this can
be fixed. You have been credited as the reporter Gene.
