I do much as Cathy has described, and I've also recently started adding
another step - I share the DNA event with other matches.

First up, I record a DNA event for the person who I've matched with. Then I
share that event with myself, and anyone else I recognise in our shared
matches (who are also named in the event as shared matches with that
person). That way, I can see at a glance who matches with who if I'm
looking around my tree later on and forgotten that connection. I've created
a role called Match for the person who this person has a DNA match with
(usually me at this stage, I don't handle/manage other people's kits yet),
and one called Shared Match.

It does make for a rather long list of events in my own record, but that
doesn't bother me. When I'm sharing data with other people I never share
more than first and last name for any living people, so those events are
never going to be accidentally shown to anyone else in a report.

Hope that gives you some food for thought. :-)

BTW, Gedmatch aren't included in the list at Legacy because they don't do
their own testing; they 'only' analyse the results of tests from other
companies.
