This may be a stupid question but won’t we lose what we’ve gained
and start all over from the beginning??

If you want to return Legacy windows to their default position and size,
you can delete this file when Legacy is closed.

While on the subject of windows doing erratic things, anyone else
Have the problem of when you open “Check/Repair”, that window
and subsequent windows slides almost completely off the screen??
Dragging it back all the time is annoying at best.

Here's my suggestions on the resizing problem. The small increments
option rarely, if ever, works for me.
There are a variety of things that help with this intermittent problem
of not being able to resize the Legacy window.
1) close and reopen Legacy and try again.
2) make sure other windows behind it are minimised before trying.
3) try a different side or corner to drag.
4) keep it away from corners and sides of the screen (I think the
problem may be to do with the snap features so it might be worth
trying with these turned off.
Some say that doing it in smaller increments works but I've never
found that. One of the above always works for me.

Try sizing the screen in small increments, once each has settled make
another small change until you reach your final size.
There is a problem report in the system about this issue. Trying to
make large changes causes the window to snap back to the original
size. I have added your report to the issue.
