We seem to still get the lip service, “the programmers won’t go for that”
 or “we have found this problem also, you will get the credit for finding it”
 but never seems to go anywhere. Who was this designed for in the first
 place, us, the users… or the programmers??

Since it nothing ever happens, people have stopped trying, which is probably 
what they wanted to have happen anyway.

We'd all like our pet bugs fixed. I know I have a few.

However, the programmers are not doing nothing.
Current GR release is no 226. Current beta release is 253. Each release 
has numbers of fixes to test.

If you have particular problems in mind, you need to contact Support or 
send them in so they get entered or updated in the bug tracking, not 
report here where they mostly go nowhere.
