Chris and Shirley:

Thanks for the suggestions but what I really want to know is how you create
sources for any information found in the yearbook that you include in your
tree. For example, if the yearbook shows your ancestor participated in the
Debate Club from 1935 to 1937, and if you choose to include this as an Event
for your ancestor, what source format do you choose from those available with
Legacy?

Hi

I would only use the Snipping Tool if there was no other way to save the image.
Remember that it is limited to the resolution of your display, which might be
lower than the resolution of the original image.

Per se, if the images are not available for a direct download then it is
possible that they are legally protected and should not be saved locally.
Probably not an issue if just used by you, but definitely an issue if they are
to be published.

Regards

Chris

Hi Richard, I "snip and save" photos using the snipping tool on my computer,
and save them in my documents file. Then I can attach them to the person in
Legacy. In that way, I add all kinds of photos to my Ancestor Chart and to my
Ancestor book. Its a bit complicated but it works. There might be easier ways
that I am not aware of...but that is what I do.

I'm preparing to save info from an old high-school yearbook that's now

finding a source format that's appropriate. None of the formats in Source
Writer seems to be a really good match so I'm wondering what other Legacy
users have done. Any suggestions appreciated.
