You have control, through the settings, about what is included in the pages, look at the options to see what can be included and excluded. Photos can be included but like all reports only one picture per individual and only one per event.

Legacy does not create a site, it only creates the web page files and stores them on your computer. To actually create a site that others can visit you need to acquire an online site from a provider who gives you space for your web page files. You will also have to upload the Legacy created files and their associated image files from your computer to the provider's web server computers. Where those are and how you upload to them should be covered by the provider.

Security on the site is also a function of the software used by the provider, Legacy does not provide any security on the pages so you will have to control access to the site using any controls the web provider offers. If you have concerns about controlling access you should discuss those with any potential provider before you sign up for their service.

You can look at what Legacy provides yourself. Create pages in Legacy from your file and when the web page files have been created Legacy will offer to use your web browser to look at the files on your computer. Just like they will look when uploaded to the internet. You can use this to experiment with the web page settings to fine-tune the pages for content and design.

I'm thinking of putting my research on to a web site. As I understand it, this can be done in LEGACY.

I have some questions though...
1) is just the basic information for individuals put on the site
2) are any notes for individuals put on the site
3) is anything in the media gallery (photos, documents etc) for individuals attached put on the site
4) how 'hard' is it to create a site
5) how does the 'world' know you have a site
6) can the site be controlled as to who can view it

Does anyone have a site they've created with LEGACY that I could look at to see what one looks like?
