Ruth,
You are likely running into this issue
BUT first check Options - Customise 6.2 and make sure that it is set to your media folder. It's OK for it to have sub-folders. You set it to the top/parent folder for media.

Otherwise see this re the Media Relinker crash:
This refers to the Media Relinker but the freeze can also happen with the File Open option Have Legacy create a list of files. The solution is the same.

I just got a new computer and I am trying to relink my media to my tree.  I am using the relink button.  It tells me I have over 4000 missing media files. The program starts searching and runs for a bit and then Legacy shuts down.  I have tried numerous times with the same results.  I have even copied the media file from the Legacy folder (last try) and put it on my desktop.  There is no way I am going to be able to relink all that media piece by piece.

Help please,

Ruth Frank
