--- Begin Message ---I tried numerous times again and still crashes. The media file is with the data file in the Legacy folder. Not sure what to do. I also did the disk clean ups. Thanks for trying to help me, Ruth Sent from Mail for Windows 10 From: Cathy Pinner Sent: Sunday, December 23, 2018 7:45 PM To: Legacy User Group Cc: Ruth Frank Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Issue Relinking Media Ruth, You are likely running into this issue BUT first check Options - Customise 6.2 and make sure that it is set to your media folder. It's OK for it to have sub-folders. You set it to the top/parent folder for media. Otherwise see this re the Media Relinker crash: This refers to the Media Relinker but the freeze can also happen with the File Open option Have Legacy create a list of files. The solution is the same. <http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/article/AA-01061/11/Error-Messages-Problems/Media-relinker-Freezing-crashing.html> Also <http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/article/AA-01062/14/Tips-and-How-Tos/Finding-and-Fixing-Broken-Media-Links.html> Cathy Ruth Frank via LegacyUserGroup wrote on 24/12/2018 9:37 AM: Subject: Issue Relinking Media From: Ruth Frank <[email protected]> Date: 24/12/2018 9:37 AM To: Legacy User Group <[email protected]> I just got a new computer and I am trying to relink my media to my tree. I am using the relink button. It tells me I have over 4000 missing media files. The program starts searching and runs for a bit and then Legacy shuts down. I have tried numerous times with the same results. I have even copied the media file from the Legacy folder (last try) and put it on my desktop. There is no way I am going to be able to relink all that media piece by piece. Help please, Ruth Frank
