I think I have fixed the problem. I have been trying ad trying to delete Legacy Charting to no avail but I have just managed to do so and there is still the charting program so possibly the problem was that the program had been added more than once. Here's hoping all is OK and continues to be so.

It may be hidden above, below or on either side of what you can see on your monitor. That is what I meant. If, as I do, you have multiple monitors and one is not turned on then Charting could be opening on that missing monitor, this is another reason a window can open but not be visible. Did you click on the Charting icon on your taskbar before you used Alt-Spacebar (You have to hold both down at the same time)? Since that is a standard Windows feature it should have done something.
