I am using 8.0 and I have the current build.
For every birth, baptism, death, and burial I have only the dates, and
no locations for everyone. For the Events/Facts sections the locations
are included in the event description.
I have only put half a dozen pictures in the picture center as I never
was able to locate the picture when I wanted to call it up and usually
just "quit" and expected to figure it out at some later time. It is
the pictures that I would like to show, but I have 10 or so Missing
Media files that I need to put where Legacy can find them. (i.e.,
cleaning up my data). It is in Options, Customize, item 6.1 and 6.2
where I probably messed up. As I said before I have almost always use
the default settings as I was satisfied with them. I have not run any
reports, but the missing data is on the data entry screen.

How are you checking whether Events have locations entered. I'm
wondering whether you are using one of the reports and the locations
have been left out or whether they appear to be missing on a
particular screen in Legacy.
In what way(s) are you cleaning up your data?

I apparently did something to eliminate the location for the events
in the individual's screen. The Master List for Locations is still
intact, but naturally doesn't have any one using that location.
I'm still using Legacy 8.5, and changed very little, if anything,
from the default settings. But in an attempt to "clean up" my data
before ordering Legacy 9, I have changed something.
