I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

I documented a census in the "event/fact page" in this case the 1860 census
but I don't think that matters in this case. I always document the head of
the house with the details that show up for the entire household in the
notes section. Then I share it with each person noted in the census.  After
selecting the persons, I am sharing with I see the graphic showing that I
shared the info, however, the notes are gone when I look back at the
details once I have completed the notes. Not only do they not show up with
the people I share with they also don't show up with the head of household.
I have walked the process through the help file and do not see where I
messed up. Can someone give me some ideas to check for?  I am using Windows
11 and Legacy 10. I have successfully done this in the past without any
issues.
