I have the same problem with dates -- Legacy not being able to compute from
nonstandard date format.
I agree with you also that the failure to show alternate names on the name list is a
MAJOR shortcoming in Legacy. What good are they if, as you say, you can't find them
again (except by spending a lot of time doing detailed searches).
I seem to recall that someone else was annoyed by the alternate name problem as well.
Perhaps if enough people would also like to be able to access aliases via the name
list, Legacy will do something about it. ;-)
