Your problem is worse than you think!!

If you check, I believe you will find that for all those individuals who
have nonstandard dates (something added after the estimated date), they
status has been automatically changed to NOT-LIVING!!

It would seem that this should be a relatively easy fix for Millennium -- if
they can get to it.

The alternate name on the name list is something I and a few others have
been grumbling about for well over a year.  Apparently most other users
either don't use the alternate name feature or don't care that they cannot
locate them again without a major hassle.

Quick access to the alternate names is, it would seem, vital since Legacy
does no name-checking during data entry as some other programs do.  As a
consequence, it becomes very easy to enter duplicates that must then be
tracked down and merged/deleted.

Maybe someday!!

I have the same problem with dates -- Legacy not being able to compute from
nonstandard date format.

I agree with you also that the failure to show alternate names on the name
list is a MAJOR shortcoming in Legacy.
