Hi Frank!
Yes, I fell into the same situation with that suggested colour changer! The
work-around with the damn silly program if I remember correctly was that you
have to start re-install to uninstall it. Must have been written by an
Irishman :-) So, then you have to go to your desktop, right click a blank
spot and select PROPERTIES. Then select APPEARANCE. Here you can reset your
desktop, icon spacing and sizes etc. The amazing part about this, is that
the Colour Changer, to me, did nothing more than what is already available
here in Desk Properties! Change the basic background colour of your desktop
here, and it changes Legacy background (grey) to that colour and every other
program, too! Why didn't we all wake up to that before! Must be getting old!

It took me a while to get everything back to normal - a few restarts of the
computer but everything is fine now.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Color - HELP HELP !!!

Knock on wood - I've not had a virus. But I've got color which is
about as bad as can be with me operating. I've had a motto: "If
you don't know what you are doing, don't do it". So I dorked
around with "3D Color Changer 3000" which I picked up via Legacy.
As the result, everything is color zapped. Black desk top. Icons
are just barely discernible. Color changer is gone. Help would be
appreciated . I was trying to get back to defaults or standard
windows (pre 3D Color Changer).
