Greetings! Eversince I started collecting data on my ancestors I have entered their religion as either Church of England, Wesleyan, or Salvation Army etc. Now I have been told that this is incorrect. The above mentioned institutions are not classified as a religion but rather a denomination instead. My friends have told me that I should enter their religion as Christian in the first instance, and then further classify them according to the Christian denomination they belong to. As I have thousands and thousands of names in my data base this will be a big job to change so many entries. So before I do anything like that I would like to get some opinions on this.
