Michel, what would you put in the title suffix?
I'm not sure that I understand how putting occupations in the title suffix
would cause problems - do you mean when transferring files? If so how?

In one specific case, I have also used the title suffix area to record farm
names. One family (not my own) from Scotland known by their farm name (the
Scandanavian influence), so I might have William PATERSON, Locklyock and
William PATERSON, Glentaggart.

I don't record occupations in the suffix area in my own files - my people
seem to change occupations quite often - I quite happily use the events
section.
