Yes, and it is very easy: Select from the menu [Add], and select [New Unlinked Individual]. Or even easier: press [CTRL][N].

Also, I think this may have been discussed, but when I imported a GEDCOM into Legacy from FTM there were a lot of errors reported - in many cases upper and lower cases were switched in notes, occupations, etc. Is there a fix for this?
