Response to Al Jensen's off topic post
FTM has already addressed the aqueduct issue.
The following if from the Family Tree Maker site regarding the file
"aqueduct":
"The aqueduct.txt file is originally set up for our beta testers with
their consent to help us track and log any problems they encounter while
testing Family Tree Maker. After beta testing is completed, our
programmers here at Genealogy.com then deactivate the file.
"Unfortunately, creation of the aqueduct.txt file was not deactivated
for the final Family Tree Maker Version 9.0 release. Since we became
aware of this issue, we have found a simple solution.
1. Download the attached file (aqueduct.dll) and save it into the
same directory where you have installed Family Tree Maker (it
could, for instance, be in C:\FTW).
2. You will know you are saving it into the correct location because
you should be told that there is already a file with that name in
the folder and asked if you want to replace it.
You should say Yes to that question.
"Once this is done the aqueduct.txt file will not be created or added to
and the existing file can be deleted.
"Please know that Genealogy.com did not have access to the information
logged by the file. We would only have had access if you had
specifically sent it to us by email."
If you have further questions, please contact Genealogy.com or Family
Tree Maker directly.
