As I mentioned earlier, I'm receiving the following error
message upon trying to open Legacy Deluxe, 5 March 2nd update
build: "Invalid file extension specified". The legacy window is
open behind the error message but not full screen, and only the
"Internet" icon is highlighted.

After clicking OK to the error message, I'm asked to select the
family file I want to open. The next window that opens is the
Individual window for the first person in my database, with the
Family View window for my startup family behind it, but neither
are in full screen. Each time I have set the "customize
settings" and saved them. Twice I have closed Legacy and done a
backup, once I skipped the backup.

Upon trying to reopen Legacy the same process begins all over
again.

I've completely uninstalled Legacy three times using unwise.exe,
and reinstalled using the "Full Download" from the Legacy Deluxe
site. At no time has it asked for the password.

I've done a repair. I've done check/maintenance. I've rebooted
each time. It just doesn't open correctly.

(Win98 2nd addition OS, Pentium 300
and all other programs are running perfectly.)

The file is useable, but I'd rather not enter or change any data
until this gets straightened out (anxiety level quite high!).

Has anyone experienced this? Or better yet, does anyone have any
idea what I can do to get this corrected?

Thanks for any help,
Sharon
