The toggled auto-sort idea for the children would be a nice feature. Has any further consideration been given to showing the differences between two files rather than the similarities? Generally, when I am considering importing a file into an existing data base, I need to know what new material is going to be added rather then what is simply going to be a re-entry of what is already there (fodder for the merge process).
This would also be useful for comparing two versions of my own data to see what changes were made between them. Also, for those who maintain separate data sets for different branches of their lineage, it would easily show where the two files "overlapped".
