Yes, you are correct. Thanks for reminding me of what I'd
forgotten. However, until the generation before mine, everyone
of my ancestors were all Roman Catholics. Years ago I went
to the local LDS family center and looked up my family in the
IGI. They were not there. That is, no me, my parents, none
of my grandparents were there, and I couldn't find any of
"my" Bayles, as far back as I've been able to trace my male line.
Some of my ancestors were there. These were mostly French
Canadian Catholics, back 200 or more years who eventually
became the progenitors of many North Americans, so that
eventually one of their descendants became a Mormon and
had the Ordinances done by proxy, I suppose.
