At present I use FTM 4.0 and gedcoms for making wall charts. Is it
worth the money to go with TreeDraw 3 to do this?

Hi Cathy and Dick
About the only reason I keep FamilyTreeMaker active is that is will do a direct-line descendant chart with ease.
If you have even an old version of FTM around, you could make a gedcom file of your ever-so-great grandparents' descendants for as many generations as you need, bring it up in FTM and use it's Outline Descendant Tree feature. In it is the option of choosing a direct line to which ever single descendant you favor.
I still prefer Legacy in most uses, but I do wish they'd ad the direct line feature.
