I created an event called Cremation, but I wasn't happy with it. I decided
to enter the cremation date in the burial field with location being the town
of cremation. In the burial notes, I explain that this was a cremation and
give the location of the ashes. My Aunt was cremated and her ashes scattered
in the Atlantic Ocean. There was a time when Legacy wouldn't accept the
Atlantic Ocean as a location without a pop-up box notifying the user that
this was not a legitimate location, but it accepts it now. My grandfather
died when the ship on which he served during WW II was sunk in the North
Atlantic Ocean and his body was never recovered. I entered the following in
the burial location: SS Balladier, North Atlantic Ocean, then gave a lengthy
explanation in my notes.
