1. Create a new list with all individuals having any events after 12/30/1930 from the Search screen.
2. Select Search > Find.. from the list created and then search within this list for people with events before 1/1/1932.
This returns a list of people (not events) who have at least one event in 1931. You can then tag all the people on this list for further processing.
An alternative approach is to use the Event Report on Reports > Books/other. This still returns a list of individuals, rather than events, but only lists the filtered events for those people, not all their events (unless you select this option). This is only a report, and can't be manipulated further, but hopefully is ok for your purposes. (This report can't be exported as a CSV or similar file, as far as I can see). It works well for me to find everyone who emigrated in the 1870's, for example.

As far as I know, you cannot search for events -- you can only search for individuals (or marriages). Your search will find all the individuals who had an event that occurred after 1930 and an event that occurred before 1932 (not necessarily the same event).

Using Legacy Deluxe 5.0, I am trying to create a list of all events for a specific year. Using SEARCH for Individual, Event-Date, after, 12/30/1930 AND Individual, Event-Date, before 1/1/1932 produces many hits but very few have any events for 1931.
How, or can, this be done?
I've tried searching the Legacy User Group Archives for "events", but the search produces no matches.
