Paula, Sources and sourcing have been a hot topic of discussion on this list before. I brought it up myself once. There was a lot of sage advice and various opinions offered by knowledgeable members, some of it off list. The rationale that really hit home with me was to uncomplicate things by taking the literal view. In your case, for instance, if the information you have entered into your Legacy file is taken from the copy of the birth certificate you hold in your hand, then the source is the copy of your birth certificate, and the repository is yourself. It's all in how your mind works. I can't handle complicated. : ) -- Alice
