It does help, Gene.   I was thinking the cancel button was to cancel the
backup, not cancel the shut down.  I see the difference and understand how
helpful that would be.   Thank you for explaining!

   As I see it, and this is only from personal experience,
    when you close Legacy, if you have a large data-base as I do
    it takes what seems like just this side of forever to re-load.
    If you do it accidentally it would be so much easier to be able
    to 'cancel' rather than 'skip'. I use 'skip' if I haven't added
    anything new and just opened it for reference and I use
    'backup' if I've added something that I don't want lost.
