In options/customize if you select the "General" tab, there is an option (bottom left) to select Tagging options which will display the tags on the Family view, pedigree view, name list etc. If you then click on the "tags to show" button you can choose any three of the 9 tags to be displayed.
On the family view and pedigree view you will then see the three selected tags for each individual and also for the marriage in the colours you selected (or grey if not selected) - you can turn them on and off by pressing the number button
Thanks -- this is exactly what I wanted to do; I just didn't know how. I get the feeling that there are thousands of features in Legacy that I would use if I knew they were there -- I am always finding new things.
