Hi Mary and Jan,
When cycling through siblings using the "hot spot", you'll get a beep when you come to the first child in the list/eldest sibling. Very useful to let you know you've reviewed them all when it's an unfamiliar family of 10+ children. One of the reasons I hate working with the sound off - though I have turned off some Windows sounds - I don't need sounds when minimising or maximising windows for instance. I do it all the time. However I use a mouse side button to copy and a program called Clipmate and I like to hear the blip to let me know it is copied and I can go on to copy the next bit. Just occasionally it fails.

Again Legacy "hot spot" beeps when you reach "preferred spouse"

Cheers,
Cathy

Hi Mary,
No need to feel foolish! I didn't know that any of the hot spots beeped! I usually don't have my speakers turned on, so I've never heard a beep! Just tried it now - it seems to beep when you change from "preferred spouse" to non-preferred spouse, but not vice versa. No, that's not right either, because I just checked my gt. grandmother who married four times, and the beep only happens for one husband, and he's not the preferred one! Maybe someone can enlighten us.

Cheers
Jan
