Matt, Do you ever send a report to family members or fellow researchs with underlines for blank fields to be filled in? If so, then you *don't* want to add Unknown to the death field (or anything to any blank fields) as the program will think you already have the info and you won't get the underlines.
Did you mark them dead with "Advance Set Living"? In any event, I don't know of an easy way to do a blanket add other than using the Edit tab in the Name List. Thanks for using Legacy.
