Matt,

Do you ever send a report to family members or fellow researchs with
underlines for blank fields to be filled in? If so, then you *don't* want to
add Unknown to the death field (or anything to any blank fields) as the
program will think you already have the info and you won't get the
underlines.

Did you mark them dead with "Advance Set Living"?

In any event, I don't know of an easy way to do a blanket add other than
using the Edit tab in the Name List.

Thanks for using Legacy.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Enhancement 4 Search & Replace

I know I have state I am satisfied with Legacy just the way it is, but the
only thing I would ask for is a way to apply Search and Replace to the
current Search list or to Tagged Indidviduals, unless it can already be
done.

For example: Trying to add Unknown to the death field of several thousand
individuals known to be dead can be a big task. There is no quick & easy
way to do it. Or changing time specific incorrect locations for a large
list of individuals born in a certain county, before that county was
created.
