Did I misunderstand this thread? If so, I apologize. I -thought- we were talking when (and if) we are going to get a third indicator for Living/Dead so that the genealogist can enter Unknown if he does not have a death date. I.e., the choices become Living/ Dead/ or the genealogist doesn't know (Unknown). I simply stated that I would use the third option if available. The subject on this thread continues to indicate a question about "yes/no/unknown" for living. If I missed one under this topic for privacy and offended anyone, I apologize.
If this thread is about private issues, I am sorry. In Legacy, the user can privatize anyone so the data on them is not printed. I have an ancestor born in 1906, and I have his name entered, and information on his deceased wife, which he gave me oral permission to use. Though he said I could use information on him now, I am withholding it out of respect for his privacy. I appreciate your point of view. However, I have a mother still alive. She was born in Jan 1912. What about the respect of her privacy? In Utah, it is my understanding they have a 100 year waiting period. I would suggest that there comes a time to fish or cut bait. I would suggest cutting bait. thank you. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Carneal" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, December 27, 2004 4:38 PM Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] When will we get yes/no/unknown for living? > No, not really.
