Ok... since we can't seem to drop it....

Am I the only one who has noticed that no body seems to say thank you
any more..... only... you didn't give enough .... fast enough.... to
suit me!!!! Maybe Americans age getting tired of the way they are
treated.... but while that may be true.... I am quite sure most of us
(US) will be digging into our pockets trying to figure out how to give
what we would like to and still pay the mortgage.

I wasn't going to respond on list and I've responded privately to
Kristian
as asked.

However I think those in the US need to hear from time to time that the
world is watching and is not impressed.

I too have been surprised at the slowness of the US response to this
disaster and the amount of its response, given it is a much larger
country
than Australia - though the disaster is on our doorstep.

I was pleased to hear that the US government response had been upped to
350
million. Since the Australian government response is already 60 million,

that's still not much in comparison. though.

I'll miss Kritian if he leaves the list as he's a very knowledgeable and

thoughtful user of Legacy and contributor to the list. But I understand
the
sentiment that rolls over us from time to time.
