Barbara,

The bottom line is Legacy does not produce true Footnotes which has
been a request of mine since I started using Legacy. Basically all you
get is a list of references called "Endnotes" and a superscript
number. Remove or edit out a line containing a reference to a source
and even though the source is not referenced again the source will
still be listed in the "Endnotes". There are several programs that
have had "real" footnotes for sometime which is why I do not
understand Legacy's reluctance to add this feature. Would definitely
make editing a RTF report much easier. But there seems to be very
little demand for this feature. Good Luck.
