Frank, I think most of us who ask "how to...?" want to avoid pitfalls
others may have already found with certain ways to do things. Or at least
learn what the pros and cons are for different methods. At least that's
true for me. Our different objectives often cause us to choose one way over
another. I agree on consistency!! Right now I'm trying to pull my data
back together to be consistently recorded. I started with a transfer from
FTM and then starting changing Sources, then learned more about Legacy from
this list, then changed my mind on Sources, then learned more..., etc!

Subject: [LegacyUG] Common sense

Rather than being careful that we 'follow the rules' why don't we just use
common sense
in all cases when adding information - as long as we're consistent does it
really matter?
A boss of mine once gave me his rule - 'It doesn't matter if you are right
or wrong, as
long as you are consistent'.
Provided we follow this rule, those that follow after can decipher how we've
recorded
certain things.
Let's not be concerned too much about what is the right way - just be
consistent!
