Rob,
Check the Legacy reports and charts *during* data entry to make sure you and
intended readers of family books are happy with the results. It is difficult
to enter blended families and single parents, especially if a file needs to
be shared with relatives using different genealogy programs.

More than ten years ago, early genealogy programs were limited to one set of
parents for each child. Multiple parents for the same child can be entered
in most programs now, but each one uses different methods and the
relationships may not be the same after a transfer. PAF is limited to the
same relationship of a child to two parents and Legacy 5 allows multiple
sources for each child-parent relationship. -- Elizabeth

I'd value a pointer to some reasonably concise guide to accepted standards
adopted by genealogists. There is so much info out there that I find it
overwhelming. A method of identifying unknown names is a good example.
