I'd endorse the requirement to be able to sort the source list by different fields.

By the way, I originally had "Personal Recollection - SMITH, F.J." as a typical Master source, but I've recently changed them all to be like " SMITH, F.J. - Personal Recollection" and SMITH, F.J. - Fax to Weiss, R" etc. so that all the info FROM one person is grouped together. This way I can track changes or inconsistencies. For official documents, I've retained document type first, then name. If we had a sort facility, this approach would not be necessary.

Anyone else do it this way?

Rob

Subject: [LegacyUG] Sources - Types - sorting?

In a recent post on personal knowledge sources, someone recently mentioned
we don't have sort options on Sources, so we need to put "Personal
Knowledge - " at the beginning of those source names. I am doing that now,
and I see that we do have a Type for each Source. I find myself selecting
"Personal" (if not already selected). Why is it we cannot sort on the Type
field in the Source view? Has anyone asked for that enhancement? Just
asking.
Thanks,
--Paula
