No because "unspecified" is not regarded as an Event but as a Source field and you can't search in Source fields - which is a nuisance.

You can search and replace in a Source field but you can't see which individual is involved so this is of limited use - I've only used it for source detail when I've picked up an obvious typing error that was on the source clipboard and attached to a number of people.

This is  a real limitation of Legacy.

the Legacy file with an event called "Unspecified" and give them a tag?
Perhaps a new fact/event is a typical method that an importing program would
use for "unrecognized" data instead of copying partial information to
individual notes (PAF option.)
