Hi Cathy - that's helpful advice.

I had tried Source Clipboard but found it a little confusing - I'll have another go.

The Enter key is (in hindsight) an obvious idea and one I use a lot in other programs!

I still wish there was a shortcut for closing all current windows back to the main one though.

regards
Roy

Hi,
You can save some clicks by learning to use the Source Clipboard.
Then you only have to load it with each census and enter all
information from that census household adding the sources without
ever seeing the Assigned Sources dialogue.

I have each census as a master source and then add the census
reference as Source Detail and a transcription to Source Detail text
- then I'm set to enter and source all information from that
household without another glance at the source (though I usually put
up with another click or two as I tick "Prompt for Detail" and check
- just in case I've been distracted and have moved on to another
household)
Another way to cut down on clicks to close through and save
everything is usually to use the Enter key as the obvious choice is
highlighted on each screen.

Cheers,
Cathy
