Hi Dennis,

I'm not sure how you got into this situation - it may have been there for awhile but you hadn't noticed because you had View 1/2 kids chosen.

You need to unlink one marriage of your parents so they are only married once (I think they'll be relieved ;-)) and then make sure all their children - you and your siblings are linked to that one marriage.

Currently it's possible that some are linked to one marriage and the other(s) to the repeat marriage.
When adding a child to parents make sure you *link to existing parents* rather than a mother or father. Doing the latter will add another marriage.
You can also avoid accidently creating another marriage if you start with the parents in the main position and link to *existing son or daughter*

You access the option to Unlink by right clicking on a person in the main positions in Family View. You'll find the option to Link by choosing Add on this right click menu - you Add a new person and Link to an existing person.

Hope that helps you sort it out.
Cathy

The problem: Legacy thinks there are TWO of me. I am my own doppelganger!

However, now I am listed twice under my parents. I am RIN #1 in both listings. My father now shows up as being married to my mother twice - she is RIN #4 in both. My mother shows two husbands - both my father, and he is RIN #3 in both.

All three of us are only listed ONCE in the VIEW - NAME LIST. With our correct RIN numbers.

I tried to delete one of my selves, but since both have the same RIN, I was completely gone from my own ancestry. I tried to merge, but I only have one RIN now so there is nothing to merge.

I hope I have explained this well enough to get some help. I am stumped, and I want to be rid of my doppelganger!
