With the frequency of Legacy updates down in the last 6-12 months, my "Download a Legacy update mouse button" has really been lonely ...

I thought it was fixed in beta ... along with many other fixes that others consider important. [[I know that Dave has personally been working on a half-dozen bugs that I have reported.]]
They all need to be thoroughly tested before general release. Otherwise something else will break and we'll be back in the same situation that we are in now.
BTW, I suspect an update is just around the corner.
