Dennis, you are correct. There are other things to consider when something
in the database changes.

There have been a couple threads about how to only upload new or modified
pages to a web site. The method that someone had previously mentioned is to
create the web pages in the Legacy web folder and then copy all the pages to
another folder (savedpages) and upload them to the web server. Then when
you have made changes and want to upload to the web again you create the web
pages in the Legacy web folder and then run a program to compare the pages
in the Legacy folder to the pages in the savedpages folder. This will tell
you which ones have changed. There are several programs out there that will
do a compare on two folders. I downloaded the one called VisaVersa which was
recommended by the original poster. VisaVersa is a free download at
www.tgrmn.com. While I haven't had the need to upload new pages since I read
about this method, I will probably use it when I do need to do more
uploading. Since I'm on a 56k dialup it should save me a lot of time.

I stand corrected regarding Pedigree style web-pages. (I am not sure what
the
original poster is using.) But the second is still a problem. He would need
to
check parent's, children's, and spouse's web-pages to see if they were
impacted, because checking the modified date will only tell you which
web-pages AT A MINIMUM need to be uploaded.
