When I click on scan picture for the slide, all I get is a picture of the slide holder. Even though the scanner has already acquired the picture and put a copy in "Photo and Image Gallery (HP software)- even so, all I get is the pic of the slide holder. I have not been able to get the slide picture into Legacy any way I've tried. Another correspondent has suggested a way I'm sure I've tried, but I'm going to follow hisadvice and see what happens. Thanks.

1. Slides do fine EXCEPT into Legacy. 2.I don't want to buy equipment I don'tg have 3. I could print a paper copy then scan the "picture" into Legacy. 4. I'll go to Legaacy for help. =================================. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kraig Jones" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, April 04, 2005 6:12 AM Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Slides into Legacy

Frank, I see there are already some good replies here about using scanners with slide attachments to do what you need. Another method to digitize slides is to use a digital camera, which I have described on this mail list: http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/other/Technical/SCANNERS-PHOTOS.html

You'll find a link to the archives at the bottom of the page. There
are many other scanner and camera tips there as well.
